Funeral monuments in a cemetery

Funerary urn in Montreal

Cremation is more and more frequently chosen these days, which is why we are a funerary urn manufacturer in Montreal. If you prefer to be able to gather at the grave site, we can advise you on memorial products such as burial crypts, chapels, or funerary steles that can be added to the headstone.

Crypt

The crypt is a raised funeral monument intended to accommodate the body of a deceased person.

Chapel

The funerary chapel is an architectural work of art that accommodates one or more coffins with an altar to allow the family to gather in complete privacy.

Funerary stele

The funerary stele is a customizable piece that is part of the headstone where the name and date of birth and death of the deceased are inscribed in order to pay tribute to them.

Cremation monuments

If you opt for cremation, we can advise you on cremation markers intended to accommodate the funerary urn of the deceased or multiple urns from the same family.

Columbarium

The columbarium is a simple cremation structure that may be public or private intended to accommodate the ashes and remains of a person and their family. It is different from a cremation casket.

Family Columbarium

While smaller than a standard burial vault, a family columbarium has enough space to hold the urns of multiple deceased relatives. This traditional burials option is ideal for families who prefer to keep their loved ones’ funeral urns in one place rather than using a communal columbarium.

Urn

A cremation urn, also known as a funerary urn, is a container intended to accommodate the remains and ashes of a deceased person.

Different shapes for the funeral urn

Today, there are many shapes of funeral urns. It is possible to find urns in the shape of a heart, a lotus or even surrounded by angel wings.

The vast majority of cremation urns available are individual cremation urns. These have a capacity of 3 to 3.5 L depending on the size of the deceased. This wide variety allows families to refine their choice according to a particular passion of the deceased or even a particular colour.

The cremation urn for a couple is larger than the individual urns. The size of these urns is sufficient to hold the ashes of two adults. You have the option of choosing a single chamber urn or a double chamber urn to separate the ashes in the container.

These urns are smaller and designed to hold only a portion of the cremated remains. These urns are used for a variety of purposes, usually to hold a small portion of the remains as a keepsake when your loved one’s ashes are buried or held in a columbarium.

Ceramic is the most common material used in the manufacture of funeral urns. Unique and artistic, they can be sealed with wax to avoid any unpleasant opening. Ceramic is a very delicate material and can be easily cleaned.

Wooden funeral urns are made of different species. It is possible to find them in maple, mahogany or walnut. Their natural brown tones bring a touch of delicacy to this funeral object. Easy to maintain, you can have a message engraved in memory of the deceased.

In recent years, a new type of urn has appeared. They are made from biodegradable materials. Made of paper, cardboard or natural fibers, they hold the ashes of a loved one while remaining ephemeral. Some of them can be used as a flowerpot to grow a tree or any other plant.

The metal urn is made of bronze, pewter, stainless steel or brass. It provides a lasting final resting place for your loved one. Easy to maintain, the metal urn is an economical option. Less expensive than other materials, metal remains a popular choice.

Round or rectangular, granite urns provide an elegant setting for your loved ones’ ashes. They can be personalized and are available in a wide range of colours and finishes. The material is strong and will not deteriorate over time.
